Tap returned to winning ways on the all-weather at Southwell last month and is taken to follow up off a 1lb lower mark here at the main expense of Dara Mac and Rileys Dream. The selection is just as good on turf as on sand judged by seconds to Ballyhurry and Beauteous at Ayr and Musselburgh and should make a bold bid to win again. The booking of Kevin Darley for Dara Mac takes the eye although he needs to improve on recent form to take a hand a bigger threat to Tap may be Rileys Dream, who has solid claims on the form shown when third to Tancred Arms at Ayr last month. Lingfield winner King Nicholas looks to be in the grip of the handicapper now, while Bonito has been done few favours with a draw in stall one. The maiden Beveller could be interesting for in-form trainer Mark Brisbourne but Tap holds solid claims and gets the vote.
