Verdict
In the opener Il Palio just shades the vote ahead of Bush Breakfast and Cleobury. Much as Il Palio hasn't prospered since his debut win, his form more than stacks up at this level and he should go well in a bid to get back to winning ways. There is plenty of speed in Bush Breakfast's pedigree and, having cost 18,500 guineas, he has to be considered. Cleobury cost 8,500 guineas and also has plenty of speed in the pedigree, while Lucknam, who hails from the same yard, also has something to like on breeding in the context of this race, but Emergency Services is hard to fancy on what he has so far achieved. All of which returns us to the selection, which is Il Palio.
