Candyfloss Girl has won on the all-weather over this sort of trip but not since this time last year. She has dropped a further 5lbs since weakening badly over six furlongs at Salisbury but she is hard to back. White Shift runs off a realistic mark (2lbs lower than her last winning mark) and acts on all sorts of ground and is worth considering having won here before. It is interesting connections try The Happy Hammer over this trip after running over much further of late and it is worth monitoring the betting, but the most appeal is made by STAMFORD BLUE who gets the vote. He won well over course and distance two starts ago and rated the same for this contest is nominated. Convince is the obvious danger having finished just half a length behind Stamford Blue when they raced here most recently but he prefers a longer trip.
