Verdict

It's rare for one of Jonjo O'Neill's string to race from out of the weights but BENEFIT GAME showed plenty of promise in winning at Worcester 9 days ago and has hardly been out-faced in this follow up attempt. Pipers Legend and Hareem make the most appeal from the rest. Hareem stays this trip well and should appreciate any cut in the ground. He gets on well with today's pilot, whose 7lb claim can only help if the ground turns heavy. Pipers Legend is hard to get right - one win from 29 previous starts tells its own story. Still, he has been consistent of late and will be hard to keep out of the frame if he runs his usual race. However, the lightly raced Benefit Game has far more scope for improvement and, as he is bred to be effective at a trip, the JP McManus-owned gelding is fancied to rise to the challenge today.
