      Verdict

      CUCKNEY BEAR opened his account when scoring at Hamilton last month. The form is working out quite well with a winner and several placed horses coming out of the race and Ed McMahon's gelding gave the impression this longer trip would suit. Arctic Cat went close when stepped up to 1m3f at Warwick last time and has strong claims on that evidence, while See The Storm needs to find only a shade more improvement to figure. Playful Girl is 5lb higher for a win at Ripon but cannot be ruled out given the red-hot form of her stable.
