Verdict
Testing going anticipated and the lightly weighted LAGO is our pick in this contest with Julius Caesar and Sammy Spiderman others open to consideration. Jimmy Moffatt's veteran has been called a few names in the past but he made a mockery of his chasing rating to score last time out and while this does represent a tremendous hike in the weights, he has few fears on this surface. Julius Caesar stays much further than this but that is no negative on what will be stamina sapping going this afternoon. Sammy Spiderman had been given some hot entries earlier in his career and while he never achieved anything against better opposition, he comes to the race fresh off the back of a success over course-and-distance. The market is watched as there could be more to come. Lucinda Russell is always respected at this track and Innominate and Reckless Venture are her pair. The former has to bounce back from a modest run at Wetherby and first time cheekpieces are on. Jim Goldie had a winner the other day so Something Silver has to enter calculations despite some moderate form figures Gunadoir is ordinary so Lago is the pick in the opener.
