In depth

Verdict

MONSIEUR JUMBO just failed to catch the winner over course and distance on his recent debut. He finished well ahead of the re-opposing Stromboli and looks to have leading claims on that form. Beltane placed at Carlisle without threatening the winner while Shareef Shareef missed the break at Lingfield on his debut. St Andrew's Castle is a speedily-bred half-brother to several winners and preferred to Perfect Glory of the newcomers.
