The three for the shortlist here are Amstecos, Something Silver, and Ossmoses and the vote goes to Jim Goldie's Something Silver. The selection won by a wide margin last-time out and his shrewd trainer sends him here instead of a handicap. A course and distance winner, the ground conditions will play to his strengths and he gets the nod. Ossmoses is certainly of interest. Rated 140 over fences, this novices' event could be his for the taking as his class may just shine too strong, however this trip looks on the short side for him and so for that reason we will oppose him. There are still doubts about Irish raider Amstecos' stamina (disappointed when last stepped up in trip), however he will love the forecast ground and ran as though this trip would suit last time out. Cromwell Court steps up in trip today which could see him go well especially for his in-form trainer, however for the winner we will return to Something Silver.
