A small field but many chances with Desert Royalty, Crimson Dancer and Grey Clouds likely to be toward the head of the market. Desert Royalty does not appear to be the easiest of rides but the jockey got a good run out of him at Epsom and if lightning strikes twice, she could be difficult to beat under a penalty. Crimson Dancer had reportedly been described as "no good" on turf by connections but that didn't stop her landing a modest event at Leicester off a mark of 60. A six pound rise has followed that victory. Grey Clouds is given the nod albeit in the hope that not too much rain hits the area. She looked a progressive type when posting a couple of victories at the back end of last term and should have benefited for a 34 day break since his last racecourse appearance. Opening Ceremony appears to perform best on genuine fast ground while Rani Two looks to be paying the penalty for a number of decent efforts earlier in the season. Our selection for the fillies handicap is therefore Grey Clouds.
