Stormy Antarctic won in this grade at Goodwood last year but is hard to catch right nowadays. Euchen Glen has been racing over longer trips this year and isn’t getting any younger but he also won a Listed race last year. Marie's Diamond is another previous course winner but is probably best over a mile. Royal Champion has run in a couple of Group 3 races since winning a competitive handicap at Epsom in June but PHANTOM FLIGHT is expected to take this step up in class in his stride following his demolition job in a York handicap last month when Chichester, unplaced here on Thursday, was behind. Dark Moon Rising is facing an easier task than of late and preferred to Forza Orta of the others.
