Nicozetto, Apache Point and Donna¿s Double are the three against the field in this wide open affair, and Nicozetto can spring a surprise. Although not on the shortlist, any market move for Gala Sunday from the Mick Easterby yard, must be heeded. Apache Point sets the benchmark, having won a similar class of contest last time and he will be a popular choice. However, that was only a narrow success after a couple of disappointing performances and he is passed over. Donna¿s Double keeps plugging away at the age of ten, and she cannot be dismissed lightly after finishing second last time but the feeling is that something may be too quick for him close home. Nicozetto has only had four runs on the Flat and may be less exposed than the others. His fourth to Peter¿s Imp at Haydock last time is as good form as anything else in the race and at the likely price is made a sporting selection.
