It was soft ground when OCEAN SHERIDAN won in good style at Thirsk three weeks ago and Michael Dods’ charge may well defy a penalty. He’s preferred to stablemate Fendale and can confirm latest running with Escalating, Mick Easterby’s duo Holiday Magic and Magic City, El Viento and Khelman. The last-named pair are two of five Richard Fahey runners with Ballymore Castle making most appeal of them off his current mark. The progressive Giant Spark is upped a couple of grades after winning at Thirsk while Classic Seniority is preferred to Courier and Best Trip on today’s going and drops back down in distance after scoring over 7f at Chester a week ago. The three-year-old Noble Peace beat older horses when also winning over 7f at Leicester but Dark Defender won over today’s trip at York recently. The ground is in Englishman’s favour and Eastern Racer has gone close in soft going before.
