In depth

Verdict

El Royale returned to form with a close second at Ffos Las on the heavy. Backed into favouritism that day, the question is whether he'll back up that improvement under totally different conditions. He's not ruled out but is still a maiden and a couple of others are preferred. Jaminoz looks placepot material on the evidence of recent solid runs and is also a likely one for win purposes in a race which looks to lack depth. He also sports a first-time visor in the hope of generating a little extra. Darker is a possible but CABINET MAKER (NAP) gets the nod as he's improved on a race-by-race basis across his three starts this season and his latest Musselburgh third reads well in the context of this race. His performance that day also suggested that this drop to 1m2f will be in his favour.
