Verdict

Kit Alexander was on board when WICKLOW LAD scored here in January and again last month when his mount defied a rise in the ratings. He's up another 5lb but is in very good shape and will enjoy the conditions. His stablemate Rossini's Dancer won at Aintree in October but that was on good ground which he definitely won't get here. Mister Marker stays extreme distances and hasn't run over a trip this short for two years. Lackamon is another who does best over much further and returns almost a year after scoring over 3m6f at Sedgefield. Storming Exit won this in 2011 and has run well enough in his two starts since landing a selling hurdle at Musselburgh in January to be considered but Jimmy The Hat has shown nothing in five races so far over fences.
