Sleeping Lion was due to run at Newmarket last night but would have obvious claims if diverted here. Now Children made a winning reappearance at Wolverhampton but will need to settle better than he did at York if he is to prove effective over this longer trip. Noble Gift has slipped down the weights but is on a long losing run on Turf but Koeman is back on the same mark as when second over track and trip in the spring and could go well. What A Welcome has been superbly placed to win all five handicaps he has contested but a further 7lb rise to bring that run to an end. FAST DANCER is on a career-high mark but was just beaten trying this trip for the first time at Windsor last time and he’ll handle whatever going prevails by the time this gets under way. Bajan Gold is developing into a decent handicapper and also warrants a second look.
