Verdict
Sesmen has progressed with each start but the daughter of Inchinor may want a softer surface to show her best form and a safer bet looks to be Simply Perfect, who gets the vote ahead of Lost In Wonder. The selection bounced back to form when a good looking winner of York's May Hill Stakes when having English Ballet one-and-a-quarter lengths back in second place. Jeremy Noseda's filly is 3lbs worse in today but is taken to again get the better of her rival there with the likelihood of more improvement to come now that the yard is in better form. Dermot Weld does not often send his horses over from Ireland but they always have to be given the utmost of respect when making the journey and Gaudeamus, who should appreciate the longer trip today, is no exception. Lost In Wonder is less exposed than most of these and could improve past the lot off them but Simply Perfect has the form in the book and she is taken to supplement her York success.
