Verdict
Winning a six-runner maiden at Musselburgh eight days ago wouldn't normally suggest a Royal Ascot winner but SOMEWHAT looked a bit special and his trainer would not send him here without good reason. His pedigree suggests a longer trip and easier ground but he's taken to follow up in a tough one for punters to call. Bunker represents the Hannon/Hughes partnership and he also gained an impressive debut success at Haydock. Friendship is by Galileo out of a Lancashire Oaks winner so will no doubt improve when stepped up in trip and Aidan O'Brien wouldn't run a maiden in this unless he though he was capable of coming away with the spoils. Autumn Lily looked a really bright prospect when landing the odds at Haydock and though her stablemate Ihtimal has been beaten twice she's attempted to make all on both occasions and more restraining tactics could see her in a better light. There are plenty of others with chances including the experienced Freedom Square, who romped away with a Curragh maiden when tackling fast ground for the first time.
