Verdict
Mark Johnston has trained four of the last eleven winners and launches another determined bid with four runners, the best of which looks to be Royal Skies. He's on a hat-trick after a six length romp at Musselburgh last week while Soviet Rock goes in search of his fourth straight win on the back of a victory at Newmarket. Excellent Result has been upped 14lb for his maiden win at Sandown where he beat Number One London by seven lengths and stablemate Cap O'Rushes makes more appeal with a decent third at Newbury under his belt. ESHTIAAL has taken a 9lb hike in the weights for his victory at Yarmouth but he didn't have to break sweat to beat a subsequent winner with the remainder nowhere. Brian Meehan's colt gets the nod ahead of another progressive type in easy Leicester winner Bold Sniper. Spillway is tough and consistent and makes more appeal than both Pasaka Boy and Pether's Moon as all three step up in distance.
