Aidan O’Brien runs four with Ryan Moore partnering last year’s Group 3 winner Lope Y Fernandez, who finished a creditable third in last week’s Irish 2000 Guineas. The unexposed Mill Reef winner Pierre Lapin returns to action having only raced on fast ground so far while Golden Horde won the Richmond at Goodwood before going close in the Group 1 Middle Park in September. Frankie teams-up with Wesley Ward once again on Listed winner Kimari, a runner-up in last year’s Queen Mary here to Raffle Prize. But the latter was subsequently beaten by the impressive MILLISLE (NAP) in the Group 1 Cheveley Park at Newmarket in September and a big race is expected from Jessica Harrington’s filly returning to sprinting having failed to last home in the Irish 1000 Guineas on her recent reappearance. Wooded is a Group 3 winner for a leading French yard and there should be more to come from him this year but most of the remainder including Mums Tipple and the Godolphin colt Royal Crusade have something to find at this level.
