Three-year-olds have a fine recent record in this so it's a surprise that Laraaib is their only representative. Owen Burrows' charge looked one to follow when completing a double in a tough Haydock handicap from Atty Persse, who came to the Royal meeting and went one better. Burguillos didn't get the best of runs at York though is 11lb higher than his victory at Leicester but BANDITRY still looks well handicapped. Ian Williams' charge won a better-class handicap than this at Newmarket last month and is only 4lb higher so should be difficult to beat if taking his place though he's also engaged at York where he's first reserve for the lucrative John Smith's Cup. Nayel's recent Nottingham victory was at a lower level but he won a Class 2 at York last May so should be up to this.
