Verdict

One of today’s reserves, Themaxwecan, won this last year and finished in front of several of these in the Northumberland Plate last month including POST IMPRESSIONIST. The ground turned against the latter at Goodwood subsequently but today’s conditions should suit and a return to form is anticipated. Frankie gets the leg-up on Chester Cup second Zoffee but both Berkshire Rocco and The Grand Visir are hard to win with nowadays and the latter’s stablemate Law Of The Sea is preferred. The Very Man travels over from Ireland with a shout and Prydwen could go well if seeing out the extra distance.
