France international has damaged his left heel
Biarritz centre Damien Traille is facing a race against time to be fit in time for the Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-final against Wasps.
The 32-year-old had an MRI scan on Monday after injuring his left heel in the 34-17 win over Lyon on Saturday.
Traille has already been ruled out of the Top 14 clash with Clermont on Saturday, with the Biarritz medical staff set to monitor his progress.
Should Traille fail to recover it will be the second successive year he has missed a last-eight tie in Europe with a heel injury - with the France international having been forced to sit out Heineken Cup quarter-final against Toulouse in 2011.
