John Gosden is well represented here with three runners. Cordwain and Ekhtiaar have excellent pedigrees and have to be respected, but we will side with Jimmy Fortune's mount Sunshine Kid, Edison could be the pick of those with experience. Sunshine Kid has a superb American pedigree, being by Lemon Drop Kid out of a dam who was a very smart miler. The stable invariably introduce some decent juveniles at this time of the year and if the money is down expect him to go close. Ekhtiaar is a son of Elmaamul and Cordwain is the progeny of Lomitas. It would be no surprise if either of these got involved in the finish. Nick Littmoden's Edison showed improved form last time out when third behind Farleigh House. That form isn't too bad but we would be surprised if one or two of the newcomers are not good enough to beat this one. So in conclusion we expect Mr Gosden to take this event and Sunshine Kid looks the obvious choice.
