King Supreme is a rare runner over hurdles for Richard Hannon and was capable on the flat so has to be respected but he faces no easy task first time up over timber in a race taken to go to SERETH, who gets the vote ahead of Finnian's Rainbow. Nicky Henderson has his team in flying form and having been going well before falling at the last on his only start in an Irish point-to-point, the six-year-old made no mistake on his rules debut with a comfortable success in a Kempton bumper. He has solid claims on his hurdling debut and makes more appeal than Paul Webber's Marley Roca, who ran better at Uttoxeter last time but is in against better opposition today. Gary Moore's Forget It is clearly better over hurdles than he was on the level but he needs to improve on all known form to trouble the selection, while French import, Highest Start, has to be considered on his first start over hurdles being trained by Paul Nicholls but faces no easy task against Sereth. Barney Curley's gelding was useful on the flat and wound up the latest campaign with a decent third in the Cesarewitch. The son of Monsun not surprisingly did his best work late on when making a winning start to his hurdling career at Huntingdon earlier this month and, with the softer ground today likely to suit, he has an obvious chance of following up that earlier success and completing a quick double.
