Verdict

Laraaib is the top rated here and won a handicap over 1m2f on the course last year. He was well below his best at Newmarket on his first start over this trip and that wasn't his form. Grey Britain was racing in Dubai over the winter and reappeared with a 50/1 success in a tough Newmarket handicap on his first start over today's distance. That didn't look a fluke but he lacks a recent run. Blakeney Point took advantage of soft ground at Chester so some rain would help but this looks destined for the younger brigade. Communique has reverted to this trip in top form, landing a Newbury handicap and a Listed contest at Newmarket where he looked to have a bit in hand. He has an obvious chance of a hat-trick but FIRST ELEVEN was very impressive when landing a course and distance handicap a month ago and, with further progress likely, can take the step up in class in his stride.
