Barry Geraghty admits there is only "a small chance" he will get to take part in the five-day Punchestown Festival, which starts on Tuesday.
Geraghty has been out of action since suffering a hairline fracture of his left tibia in a fall at Downpatrick last month.
He had held out some hope of being back in time to ride Sprinter Sacre at Sandown on Saturday but that failed to materialise.
The jockey is now in danger of missing the highlight of the Irish National Hunt season.
"I haven't had the green light as yet, no," Geraghty said. "At the moment it (the injury) is still not fully weight-bearing. There's a small chance I could be back at the end of the week, but it's only a small chance."
