Freezing temperatures have claimed some of racing’s fixture list this weekend but All-Weather action goes ahead at Southwell and Wolverhampton, both live on Sky Sports Racing.

5.05 Southwell- Unbeaten Moon Over Miami makes handicap debut

2024 was a fine year for Ralph Beckett and he could have another potentially smart animal on his hands with Moon Over Miami who was an impressive winner on debut at Doncaster last year.

He was then seen in May when carrying a penalty in a Yarmouth Novice and has obviously had issues given he has been off since but arrives for the £30 In Free Bets With BetUK Handicap (5.05) on a mark of 91 and if he builds on his two starts will be dangerous on handicap debut.

Young trainer Jack Morland has shown he is a dab hand with new recruits and looks to work his magic with Gaassee. He's 7lb below his last winning mark and could bounce back.

Another unexposed rival is Glen Buck who arrives here after a good run from a long break at Wolverhampton when third. The six-year-old has clearly been tricky to train but if kept fit and well could run well.

6.35 Southwell - Rebel Empire & Ormolulu reoppose

It will be an interesting matchup in the Weekly £5 Free Bet With BetUK Handicap (6.35) between Rebel Empire and Ormolulu who both have 5lb penalties to carry as they reoppose here in a competitive looking handicap.

Gemma Tutty is in terrific form and got the better of Richard Hannon's Rebel Empire when they lined up over this course and distance last month and is fancied to confirm that form.

Many A Star had a wide trip at Chelmsford and still managed a good third-placed finish and the handicapper has dropped him 1lb which gives him a great chance if he gets a better passage this time around.

6.50 Wolverhampton - Angel Of Antrim seeks four-timer

The aforementioned Jack Morland landed a hat-trick with Angel Of Antrim last time and it looked as though the key to this one was the switch from cheekpieces to the visor, which he keeps here as he bids to defy a 5lb penalty.

He is now rated 19lbs higher than that first win of the hat-trick but he is in terrific form and is likely to go in again.

Rosenpur has finished second on his last three occasions including two of which were over course and distance but is yet to win from thirty starts and it could be a tough ask against the in-form Angel Of Antrim.

Circles and Ignac Lamar complete the shortlist.
