Fakir D'Oudairies (4/1) laid down a significant Cheltenham Festival marker by landing the JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle at Cheltenham in breathtaking style.

The Irish raider came in for sustained market support throughout the morning and justified the strength of that money with a bold attacking display to win by 13 lengths.

The recent Cork winner cut out the early running with market-leader Adjali but travelled to the front with three flights jump and never looked in any danger thereafter, winging the last before powering up the hill under J J Slevin.

Stablemate Fine Brunello ran on well for second to complete a one-two for O'Brien with Adjali holding on for third.
