Saeed bin Suroor will stay patient with Raaeb, who made a winning debut at Doncaster last week.
The Raven's Pass colt was sent off the 11-10 favourite against rivals who had already achieved a decent level of form and it was pretty straightforward for Jim Crowley's mount, but the Godolphin trainer is already thinking of next year with him.
"He's a nice colt, and he has always shown something in the morning," said Bin Suroor.
"We've no plans at the moment for him. We'll look for a nice race for him - but he's a horse who is going to be nice in the future, because he showed plenty of ability.
"I've always liked him, but we need to see more next time he runs. He'll have one more race, and then we'll look to next season with him."
A day later, another newcomer won for the yard at Chelmsford - the three-year-old filly Perfect Number.
"My three-year-olds have been backwards, and now they are ready to run," said Bin Suroor.
"At least we can see that she has ability. I don't think we'll take her to Dubai - it's more likely she'll stay in England.
"We'll look for one more race for her, maybe two, before we put her away."
