Ayr Racecourse is offering free entry to its evening fixture on Monday August 15, the Scottish On Course Bookmakers Racenight,  sponsored by the Scottish Bookmakers Association.

The support of the bookmakers means that the Ayr Executive can waive what was to have been a £15 entry and all racegoers can enjoy the seven-race card free of charge.

John Fox, President of the Scottish Bookmakers Association said : "The Scottish Bookmakers Association is delighted to be sponsoring the free race night.

"This gives regulars and new race goers alike the opportunity to enjoy what will be an excellent night's racing with free entry and hopefully bet  a winner with your on course bookmakers."

Ayr Racecourse Managing Director David Brown said : "I'd like to thank our on course bookmakers whose generous support has made it possible for us to allow free entry for our Monday evening fixture on August 15.

"I am hoping this initiative will attract some new racegoers who will enjoy the experience at Scotland's premier track and come back in the future. It is still holiday time so hopefully we will attract a good crowd."
