Tuesday 29 January 2019 23:24, UK
Rodrigo scored twice in stoppage-time to complete a hat-trick and fire Valencia to the Copa del Rey semi-finals with a 3-1 win over Getafe.
Getafe, who had won the first leg 1-0, took the lead in the decider just 38 seconds into the match at Mestalla, courtesy of Jorge Molina.
But Rodrigo scored in the 61st minute then struck a dramatic double (90+2, 90+3) as Valencia advanced 3-2 on aggregate.
Rodrigo's decisive third goal came seconds after Getafe missed a great chance to score on a counter-attack.
Getafe played with 10 men from the 74th minute as Djene Dakonam was shown a second yellow card.
