Sunderland secured their first points of the season as Wilson Isidor's effort earned them a 1-0 win against Fulham.
Substitute Isidor netted with 15 minutes to go in the second half at the Stadium of Light as the Black Cats bounced back from their opening-day defeat at Ipswich.
For Fulham, however, it is two defeats from two. They looked bright in stages but rarely threatened the Sunderland goal.

In a game of few chances, it eventually took the changes from Regis Le Bris to settle the result.
Isidor had one glorious chance on 71 minutes, but somehow managed to hit the post from a glorious position after being teed up by Enzo Le Fee.
But he made up for it a few minutes later with the winner, turning the ball into an empty net from fellow substitute Habib Diarra's ball in, after Bernd Leno had missed an attempt to cut the cross out.
The key moments from the Stadium of Light
26: CHANCE! First real chance of the game! Iwobi drops in and plays a lovely ball over the defence into King. He's ghosted into the box, but his first touch takes him away from goal and then he lifts his shot over the bar.
57: CLOSE! So nearly an opening again for Fulham. King flicks in Berge. And he slides a pass through to Garcia. He gets into the box and gets his shot away, but Mukiele has got back to make the block. Excellent last-ditch defending.
71: HUGE CHANCE!! Sunderland should be in front. What an opportunity. Xhaka plays a long ball out to Le Fee. He then plays it low across the box for Isidor. All he has to do is stroke it in with the goal at his mercy, but he hits the post!!
75: GOAL! NO MISTAKE THIS TIME! It's so similar to the last chance. This time a ball is threaded down the right for Diarra. He plays it across the box and Wilson Isidor is there to roll it into an empty net after Leno misses the cross.Sunderland lead.
Le Bris: We want to rebuild our home fortress
Sunderland's Regis Le Bris on Sky Sports:
"It feeds the confidence, especially at home. We want to rebuild our fortress, but it is a process.
"Sometimes you lose and you say maybe it is not the right timing or the dynamic is not good, but it is a process. You have to learn from mistakes, reset and go again. That is going to be the case for next week against Brentford.
"Our substitutes helped a lot and it is so good to feel the energy of the squad.
"It is obvious for Sunderland, but for every club in this league, you cannot play with 11 players. They did really well and finally we scored.
"This is the reality of the competition and if you are not all in, you cannot play at that level. They were all in.
"The Premier League is really demanding and we enjoyed being back at home. Our crowd and our fans are so important to lift the standards and the energy.
"Our players are now getting used to creating this connection with them. Whether it is a counter-press, a tackle or a high press, we feel the energy of the crowd and we can switch the momentum."
Arbeloa: We were not at our level
Fulham's Alvaro Arbeloa on Sky Sports:
"We didn't win any duels. No second balls. At the end, that is about being in the game and wanting to be competitive. That is the most important thing for a team.
"After that, you can improve in many areas of our game, but I think the most important thing for us is being competitive. Today, I think we were not at our level.
"We have been working so hard during pre-season and in the game against Chelsea. I saw the attitude that I want to see in my team, and we had the personality that we want to have.
"But it's not just at home. It has to be a way that we know is difficult, more difficult. Sunderland are a tough team and it's a difficult stadium. We know that, but I think we need to show something more."
'Fulham toothless while Sunderland prove tough to beat again'
Andy Hinchcliffe on Sky Sports:
"Fulham were toothless. I was a little surprised by their display after doing well against Chelsea.
"Isidor just takes the chance after missing a big opportunity, staying strong and believing in himself after that.
"It's another tight win for Sunderland, like they did so much last season. If you can't score three or four then be a team that's hard to beat. The unity they show is always going to be key at this club.
"They proved hard to break down. Mukiele and Roefs were excellent, and Xhaka ran the show."
