Teenage striker Luke Jephcott enjoyed a dream return to action as Plymouth Argyle secured back-to-back away victories with a 3-1 success at Scunthorpe.
Twenty-four hours on from being recalled from a loan spell at Southern League Truro City, the 19-year-old was thrown straight into the starting line-up and responded with a brace.
Jephcott fired the Pilgrims ahead in the 12th minute, sweeping home from just outside the six-yard box from an inviting George Cooper cross.
Scunthorpe huffed and puffed in response to going behind, but lacked quality in the final third to capitalise on some good spells of possession.
Argyle applied much less pressure but made their attacks count, with Byron Moore finishing off another Cooper cross to the far post to double their lead five minutes into the second half.
Six minutes later they scored their third, Jephcott making the most of a bad mistake by home keeper Jake Eastwood - who spilled a Danny Mayor shot - by smashing into an empty net.
Substitute Kevin van Veen beat the offside trap to fire Scunthorpe a lifeline in the 65th minute, but despite a period of pressure, it proved nothing more than a consolation.
