O's brushed aside by Posh at London Road
Peterborough overcame early pressure to defeat Leyton Orient 3-0 at London Road and claim their first points in League One.
Leyton Orient midfielder Sean Thornton had driven his side on in the early stages but Posh went in front a minute before the break when Craig Mackail-Smith dispossessed Brian Saah and raced from the half-way line before beating Glenn Morris with a superb curling shot.
Orient keeper Morris was helpless again four minutes into the second half when Aaron Mclean controlled a Dean Keates free kick before turning to hammer Posh's second.
Mclean should have netted again moments later only to stand on the ball, before Mackail-Smith (68) poached his second and Posh's third when he squeezed the ball home through a crowd.
Thornton almost carved out an Orient opening with a free-kick but Posh continued to pile forward with Mclean, Keates and George Boyd all going close.
