Dan Seaborne scored the only goal of the game as Coventry beat Stevenage 1-0 at Sixfields to ease their Sky Bet League One relegation fears.
The defender struck in the second half of a tense affair - which also saw Callum Wilson miss a penalty - and the result sent City six points away from the relegation zone. It was the visitors who had the better of the first half, when Francois Zoko hit the post with a header just inside the area inside the first 15 minutes. Just before the break, Luke Freeman should have scored the opener but he slipped when well placed in the six-yard box. But the goal came on 66 minutes when John Fleck's inswinging corner was headed in by the unmarked Seaborne for his first of the campaign. City had the chance to double their lead after 86 minutes when substitute Nathan Ecclestone's shot was handled by Bira Dembele. But Wilson, with the chance to score his sixth goal in six games, hit a tame penalty which was easily saved by Steve Arnold. Yet City held on to keep their second clean sheet since November, while Boro have now suffered back-to-back defeats and remain bottom of League One.
