Marston's has teamed up with Sky Sports to sponsor our coverage of the inaugural Twenty20 World Cup.
Sky Sports has secured Marston's as broadcast sponsor of its live ICC World Twenty20 Championship from South Africa coverage. Marston's, the UK's largest brewer of premium cask ale, will support Sky's coverage of the very first ICC World Twenty20 tournament, live from South Africa this month. The sponsorship covers on-air coverage through sponsorship credits and break bumpers as well as branding on Sky's above the line advertising of the event. Featuring every Test playing team, Sky Sports is showing each match of the ICC World Twenty20 live beginning with the opening game between South Africa and the West Indies in Johannesburg on 11th September. Announcing the deal, Peter Jackson, Director of Marketing for Marston's Beer Company, said: "Our sponsorship of the ICC World Twenty20 coverage in South Africa reinforces our commitment to supporting the England Cricket team both at home and abroad. The on-air coverage will help put Marston's name into every cricket and beer supporters home during the competition. "And to support the deal, we've created in-pub support kits for pub landlords with Sky so they can publicise fixtures and matches and drive trade throughout the tournament. "Our beer sales have already bucked the national trend thanks to our insistence on driving beer quality and increasing exposure - this latest deal with Sky can only build on this success."
