The 2005 Ashes Test at Edgbaston will live long in the memory, for then-England captain Michael Vaughan in particular.
Vaughan’s men secured a dramatic two-run victory over Australia in Birmingham when Michael Kasprowicz, having put on 59 for the last wicket with Brett Lee, gloved Steve Harmison behind to Geraint Jones.
The second-Test triumph levelled the series at 1-1 and has been viewed as the catalyst for England going on to win 2-1 and regaining the Ashes for the first time in 18 years.
Ten years on from that win – and with England currently battling Australia at Edgbaston in the 2015 Ashes – Vaughan talked Sky Sports through a truly absorbing Test.
From Glenn McGrath treading on a ball and missing the match, to Ricky Ponting’s bizarre decision at the toss, from Steve Harmison’s majestic dismissal of Michael Clarke with a slower ball, to Jones’ match-winning catch, Vaughan remembers it all.
So watch the video above for Michael’s story of THAT Edgbaston Test.
