Jonathan Trott: I'm available to make England return
Tuesday 16 September 2014 23:21, UK
Warwickshire batsman Jonathan Trott says he is ready for an England recall.
Trott left the Ashes tour last year after the first Test in Brisbane due to a stress-related illness and has not played internationally since.
After a recurrence of the problem in April forced him to take another break from the game, his domestic comeback in June has proved something of a success with four centuries - two each in the County Championship and Royal London One-Day Cup.
He was not awarded a central contract by the England and Wales Cricket Board but is open to a return.
"The ECB and I have had our final get-together. I've been signed off by the ECB," said Trott, who has played 49 Tests.

"Whatever comes along with regards to selection, maybe. I'm not putting too much pressure on myself.
"There's been some challenging times. Some tough times. But I've been available a while, for the last month or two, I suppose, in terms of selection and I'm enjoying my cricket.
"I've been feeling good for a while now. It's been great going back to Warwickshire. The last couple of months with Warwickshire have been fantastic."
While Gary Ballance has made the No 3 spot in Tests his own, that position has proved harder to fill in the one-day international side, where Trott averages 51.25 in 68 matches.
Yet his immediate focus is with Warwickshire, who face Durham in the One-Day Cup final at Lord's, where victory would seal a limited-overs double, with the Bears having already lifted the NatWest T20 Blast this year.
"I'm doing my best to play as much good cricket as I have got left in me and to win stuff for the team," Trott added.
"We've got a big final on Saturday, then another game against Durham, which is important, which we may have to win to stay second (in the championship)."
