Defending champions Hampshire and 2017 winners Nottinghamshire made it three wins in three games in the Royal London One-Day Cup with victories over Middlesex and Warwickshire respectively.
Hampshire maintained their 100 per cent record and ended Middlesex's with a 119-run triumph, in which Aiden Markram scored 88 and then claimed 3-39 with his off-spin. Hants vs Middlesex scorecard
Markram's knock plus Rilee Rossouw's 64 and Liam Dawson's 43 propelled James Vince's men to 301-9, with Middlesex seamer Tom Helm taking 5-71, including the wickets of Rossouw and Vince (14), at The Ageas Bowl.
Markram made England ODI skipper Eoin Morgan (41) one of his victims, while Dawson (3-37) and Kyle Abbott (3-36) also starred as Hampshire dismissed Middlesex for 182 to move top of the South Group, two points above Middlesex, Somerset, Sussex and Gloucestershire.
Nottinghamshire head the North Group - the Outlaws are two points clear of Durham - following a 118-run win over rock-bottom Warwickshire at Edgbaston, a game in which Ben Slater notched his fifth List A hundred. Warks vs Notts scorecard
Slater, a winter acquisition from Derbyshire, scored 15 fours in his 100 from 115 balls as Notts reached 301-9, the opener sharing half-century stands with Joe Clarke (39) and Steven Mullaney (40).
The Outlaws slipped from 81-0 to 98-4 and then from 193-4 to 207-7 before James Pattinson (33), Luke Fletcher (32) and Matt Carter (21no) helped their team rack up 91 runs from the final 10 overs.
Warwickshire captain Jeetan Patel picked up 5-45 but then saw his team tumble to 69-6 with the bat, before Liam Banks (57) and Alex Thomson (55) dug in to lift the Bears up to 183 all out - spinner Carter and paceman Fletcher with three wickets each for Notts.
2018 runners-up Kent, meanwhile, prop up the South Group after four defeats from four, a six-wicket loss at Gloucestershire their latest reverse on the day they welcomed back England batsman Joe Denly - and then saw him suffer a back spasm. Gloucs vs Kent scorecard
Denly, returning from an IPL stint with Kolkata Knight Riders in which he bagged a golden duck in his only game, made 56 in Kent's 282-8, sharing a 103-run stand with top-scorer Zak Crawley (85).
Benny Howell (2-39) and David Payne (2-45) impressed with the ball for Gloucestershire, before Gareth Roderick (100no) and James Bracey (67) flourished with the bat as the hosts coasted home with 19 balls to spare against a Kent fielding outfit minus Denly.
Finally, Surrey chalked up their first win of the season, with Liam Plunkett taking a timely 4-50 as the Londoners beat Essex by 65 runs at the Oval. Surrey vs Essex scorecard
Plunkett, whose World Cup spot is under threat from Jofra Archer, picked up combined figures of 1-124 from 13 overs in the defeats to Gloucestershire and Sussex but responded on Tuesday as Essex were bowled out for 213 in reply to Surrey's 278-8.
Plunkett's fellow quick, Morne Morkel, bagged 4-23, while Dan Lawrence top-scored for the visitors with 50 from 59 balls.
Ben Foakes (82) earlier completed back-to-back fifties for Surrey and skipper Rory Burns hit 55 while Essex seamer Sam Cook claimed 3-37.
