Dale Steyn made his return to competitive cricket after more than a year out as the Titans beat the Knights by 38 runs in the Ram Slam T20 Challenge at Kimberley.
Watch highlights of the match in the video at the top of the page as Steyn, who made his first appearance since recovering from a stress fracture of his right shoulder, recorded figures of 1-25 from his three overs as the Titans maintained their position at the top of the table with their second win of the tournament.
The Titans built an imposing total despite losing Quinton de Kock for just nine after he was run out by Ryan McLaren in the third over.
Henry Davids (50 off 46 balls) and Aiden Markram (50 off 54) went about building the platform for their side, before AB de Villiers and Farhaan Behardien cut loose towards the back end of the innings.
De Villiers carried on from where he left off on Sunday hitting three sixes before he was eventually dismissed for 43 off 31 balls, while Behardien (37 off 22) also hit three maximums as the Titans finished their 20 overs with an excellent score of 199-4.
Steyn's return did not go quite to plan early on as Knights openers Patrick Kruger and Grant Mokoena (21 off 10) took his opening over for 17, but the partnership was soon broken with Albie Morkel (1-10) trapping Mokoena in front.
The Knights' innings never really got going and Steyn returned to pick up the wicket of Theunis de Bruyn (22) before Tabraiz Shamsi picked up the crucial wicket of David Miller (8) and that of Ryan McLaren (11) to finish with 2-30 from his four overs.
Andries Gous (37) and Marchant de Lange (27 not out) provided some late resistance but the Titans restricted the hosts to 161-7 to earn a comfortable victory.
The Ram Slam T20 Challenge action continues live on Sky Sports Cricket on Friday when the Lions take on the Cobras at the New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg (3.55pm, Sky Sports Cricket).
