Former Surrey skipper Roger Knight is to take over from David Morgan as president of MCC on Thursday.
And Mike Gatting, the former England captain and 2014 MCC president, is one of four newly elected committee members.
Having been nominated by his predecessor, Knight becomes only the fifth MCC member to have served as both secretary & chief executive and president of the club.
There is also a change of club chairman, with experienced businessman Gerald Corbett set to take over from Oliver Stocken.
Gatting will join the committee from October 1, along with his fellow new members Graham Monkhouse, Chris Guyver and Dr Chinmay Gupte.

New president Knight will hold office until September 30, 2016 while Corbett will remain in place until September 30, 2018.
During a 22-year playing career, Knight represented Cambridge University, Surrey, Gloucestershire and Sussex. He captained Surrey for six seasons and led them to victory at Lord's in the NatWest Trophy in 1982.
As MCC secretary and chief executive, he oversaw the construction of the Grand Stand in 1998, Media Centre in 1999 and the relaying of the outfield in 2001, as well as a significant Pavilion refurbishment, completed in 2005.
In 1998, he was instrumental, alongside then president Colin Ingleby-Mackenzie, in forwarding the motion that women become eligible to join MCC as Members.
"I am extremely proud to become MCC president and I am thankful to David Morgan for nominating me," said Knight.
"Having worked here for over 12 years I always thought that the presidency was a marvellous role, and probably the best in cricket.
"MCC is such a prestigious club, with an international membership and worldwide influence. I shall do my best to support and promote its values in my year in office."
