Wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Mithun and all-rounder Nasir Hossain have been recalled to the Bangladesh squad for the ICC World Twenty20 in India, which gets underway on 8 March.
Mithun played his last T20 international against the West Indies back in August 2014 while Nasir was rested for last month's series against Zimbabwe, which finished in a 2-2 draw.
Chief selector Faruque Ahmed said of the duo: "More or less we have an idea about our best 11 players. We thought they have the potential to be the next best."
Mashrafe Mortaza will captain the 15-man squad which includes batsman Mushfiqur Rahim and left-arm paceman Mustafizur Rahman, who are fit again after missing the last two matches against Zimbabwe with injury.
Bangladesh will begin their campaign on March 9 against Netherlands in Dharamsala.
Qualification Group A also includes Ireland and Oman, and the team who tops the group will enter the main draw.
Bangladesh squad: Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Mohammad Mithun, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Sabbir Rahman, Mashrafe Mortaza (capt), Mahmudullah Riyad, Nasir Hossain, Nurul Hasan, Arafat Sunny, Mustafizur Rahman, Al-Amin Hossain, Taskin Ahmed and Abu Hider.
