Saturday's card goes the same way as Friday's fixture

Saturday's meeting at Thirsk has been abandoned following a 3.30pm inspection on Friday. Officials looked at the course after persistent rain fell throughout the day, and with further rain forecast an improvement in conditions was deemed unlikely. The North Yorkshire track is scheduled to host a fixture on Sunday and officials have called for another inspection. "We have been forced to abandon the meeting on Saturday and will check at 3pm tomorrow for Sunday," said a course spokesman. "The course is partly waterlogged." Friday's meeting at Catterick was called off shortly before the first race was due off after persistent rain rendered the course unraceable. Officials called a hastily arranged inspection at 1.30pm after rain throughout the morning left at least one part of the course waterlogged. "There had been no rain overnight and it did not start until 8.30am," Sanderson told Racing UK. "We had a couple of millimetres in the first couple of hours and it has just continued to get heavier and heavier all day. "I think we've had around 10 millimetres now and there is puddling on the track."
