Off-spinner has played four first-class games in his career

Warwickshire off-spinner Maurice Holmes has been suspended from bowling in county cricket until a second independent analysis of his action. The 21-year-old's action was reported during the Clydesdale Bank 40 match against Leicestershire on May 1 and also in the Second Xl Trophy match between Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire on June 13. With no previous evidence available, Holmes's bowling action was subject to the independent analysis process set out in the ECB regulations. An initial analysis proved inconclusive due to the player bowling too slowly in the tests. Holmes has played four first-class matches in his career, claiming seven wickets - his suspension is with immediate effect and will last until it is concluded by the ECB that he has remedied his action.
