Verdict

STAGE STAR made it 3-3 over hurdles with an easy victory in the Grade 1 Challow Hurdle at Newbury and should have few problems dropping into Listed company with only a 5lb penalty before heading to The Festival, where he is a leading fancy for the Ballymore. Peking Rose was a smart bumper and is starting to fulfil his potential over hurdles while Lac De Constance beat a subsequent winner in a maiden when No No Tonic was a well-beaten third. Moriko De Vassy has won at Hereford and Doncaster but this is easily his toughest task to date.
