Verdict

The Character isn’t badly handicapped but his stable has had a quiet season by its own high standards. Watt Broderick is having a first run since August and probably warming up for a summer campaign with similar comments applying to the returning Newton Abbot specialist Billy My Boy. There are possibilities about course and distance winners MERE ANARCHY and Flight To Nowhere with preference for Bob Stephens’ gelding, who wasn’t beaten far here the last time he raced off a mark this low. Delface won at Uttoxeter in December but remains 7lb higher.
