Verdict

A weak opener in which it’s hard to have a definite opinion. Jackie Du Plessis had a couple of winners at Exeter on Monday and the lightly-raced Cornelius Socks could keep the run going after an improved showing on his latest start at Ffos Las. Jimmy Bell has been threatening to win a race like this and Late Shipment would have picked up and carried these a couple of years ago. MAUNA KEA has struggled off higher marks since completing a double at Exeter in December but this looks his easiest task for a while. Boher Lad and American Life could also figure.
