In depth

Verdict

Several make their handicap debuts but CRIMSON SAND beat a subsequent winner when completing a double on the all-weather and can take another step forward. Marlay Park and Tanfantic are maiden and novice winners respectively while Ascot Adventure is preferred to Desert Gulf and Royal Musketeer stepping up from the minimum trip on his second start for Clive Cox. Temple Bruer won at Doncaster recently but is upped in class off a higher mark while both Whittle Le Woods and Ballyconneely Bay came up short on their handicaps bows.
