Twenty years ago, WWE - then trading as WWF - produced an infamous advert which was used during the 1998 Super Bowl.

The iconic advert, which included contributions from "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Rock, Kane and the one and only Vince McMahon himself, was an instant hit with fans of the product and continues to resonate today.

Behind-the-scenes footage of the production of the advert has now been released and made public, and you can watch it for yourself by clicking on the video above.

The commercial was shot inside the company's headquarters, known as Titan Towers, in Stamford, Connecticut and featured several memorable moments.

"The context of this commercial fits the WWF to a tee," says a very young-looking Dwayne Johnson - in those days still known mostly as The Rock - in an impromptu on-set interview.

"It is the personification of the attitude of WWF. It's madness, it's mayhem and that is what the WWF attitude is all about - led by the great one, the WWF champion The Rock."
