Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan laid out Naomi and Becky Lynch in the backstage area and later attacked Charlotte Flair and Natalya during their rematch, causing it to end in a no-contest.

The 'invasion' is almost identical to the one which took place on Raw and the fact it involved NXT superstars means they could be linked as part of a wider storyline.

SmackDown general manager Daniel Bryan simply said "no comment" when he was asked about the incident, fueling speculation that he could somehow be involved.
